If you love hiking, caves and waterfalls, visiting Grotte del Caglieron caves is a must! Situated in the little town of Breda, near Fregona these caves were formed through erosion by the local torrent. On our Caglieron caves hiking tour allow the wooden walkways to take you through a series of caves and waterfalls streaming down the rocky sides of this “heaven on earth”.

In some caves you can spot a sandstone layer, partly dug out by past miners to get the ‘piera dolz’, one of the oldest stones used in the construction industry from the XVIth century. You can admire the natural Forra (gorge) with the waterfalls and their big marmitte (potholes). The area is particularly appreciated in the summer due to its cooler temperatures, and in the winter when the ice forms on the waterfalls.You will continue your hike in the forest, admiring the view of the surrounding plain and Fregona village, as well as old mills that are typical of this area of Veneto.
