Ferrari. Lamborghini. Maserati. Ducati.

If you love cars, you will know the legendary vehicles created by Italian car designers. Isn’t it time to indulge your passion with some Italy Tours and Italy Vacation Packages that let you explore this amore in person?

In the north of Italy, in the city of Modena that also produced the late great operatic tenor Luciano Pavarotti, is where you find the incredible exhibition space of the Museo Enzo Ferrari. Visitors will become well acquainted with the brilliant mind and long life story of Enzo Ferrari, even getting a glimpse into his childhood years and the workshop where he watched his own father work. The exhibits explore many facets of the creator behind these celebrated cars as well as the various qualities that make Ferarris so unique.

A regularly scheduled shuttle bus takes visitors to the Museo Ferrari in nearby Maranello. Exhibitions here change periodically, but all explore different aspects of the history and genius of the Ferrari brand. A highlight for many is experiencing what driving a Ferrari single-seater on the Monza track is really like by buying admission to one of the two semi-professional simulators on site. The permanent exhibit explores Formula 1 and the World Championship and even boasts a pit stop wall.

If you’d like to explore the rich history of the automotive industry, you must stop by the Museo Stanguellini in Modena. Open since 1996, this fascinating collection takes you from the beginnings of the automobile industry in Italy in the late 1800s up through the decades to today.

On the grounds of the Hombre Organic Farm, in addition to rounds of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese there is an incredible private museum with motorcycles and vintage cars, including a collection of Maserati, called the Panini Museum. You must make an appointment to see this private collection, which was saved from the auction block and preserved for the citizens of Modena and car enthusiasts internationally to appreciate.

Another such private museum located in Modena is the Museo de Tomaso, which also requires an appointment for viewing. It houses the signature De Tomaso model vehicles, including the 1963 Vallelunga and the Guarà.

If the Lamborghini is what your heart desires to see up close, the official Lamborghini Museum is in beautiful Bologna. It is an extensive and interactive exhibit that traces the history of the House of the Raging Bull from its very beginning to present day. Our private walking tour of Bologna will introduce you to this historic and celebrated city.
