THE HISTORY OF ROME- THE ETERNAL CITY

But, in modern history, Rome has regained importance especially since the re-unification of Italy symbolized by the imposing  memorial to Vittorio Emanuele II is considered to be the heart of Rome at Piazza Venezia.
