Combining our Original Renaissance Walk that includes a tour of MichelAngelo's David, with our tour of the the Uffizi you'll see all the major sights of the city as well as enjoying a full understanding of the Renaissance movement and the role played by the city of Florence.

9.30 am - 11.30 am. Your day tour starts with our Original Renaissance Walking Tour (including Michelangelo's David), that provides the ideal introduction to a city, whose piazzas and palazzi reveal the logic and philosophy of that incredible period of history called the Renaissance. This tour features: The original statue of David by MichelAngelo, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, Famous Paintings & Sculptures, Medieval Florence and the times of the Renaissance.

On your Florence in a day tour, enjoy a  walk through the streets and piazzas of Florence where we'll discuss the ideas of the Renaissance, the lives of many famous artists, the Medici family who showered Florence with countless masterpieces, and how life changed forever during this epic period of the history of Florence.

11.30am - 12.30pm. Tour of the Accademia. After enjoying a walk through the historical centre of Florence we arrive at the Accademia Gallery, home to Florence 's most treasured work of art - "MichelAngelo's David". After enjoying an in-depth discussion of David, we'll also have time to admire "MichelAngelo's Slaves". A series of breath-taking sculptures. After a break for Lunch the tour of the Uffiizi will start at 2 p.m.

Optional Lunch
In between the tours on your day tour of Florence, there is pause for you to enjoy a lunch at a local trattoria for 15E, before taking our afternoon tour of the Uffizi museum (lunch not included in the price).

2.30pm - 4.30pm. Tour of the Uffizi Museum. Famous for its masterpieces by artists such as Giotto, Botticelli, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raffaello, Tiziano, Caravaggio, just to name a few.Through out the tour of the Uffizi we'll spend more time viewing and discussing the works that gave rise to the Florentine Renaissance so that you can enjoy a new understanding of this incredibly important period of art history.

As part of your day tour of Florence, at the Uffizi museum, originally built by the Medici to house their administartive offices that ruled the city, we'll discuss the Medici family as we tour the top floors of the Uffizi.
