And while housing all the institutions inside its chambers that made Venice one of the most enlightened cities in the world, the Venetians themselves also adorned the Doges Palace with fabulous works of Art that will be discussed during your tour of the Doges Palace. Within its walls a fascinating story awaits you - learn how a city built in swamplands developed & maintained a Great Mercantile Empire and the longest running Republic in the history of the world.


2.30pm BEST OF VENICE WALKING TOUR WITH SKIP-THE-LINE TICKETS TO ST. MARK'S BASILICA 2 hours:

In two glorious hours learn the history of Venice from its origins to the modern day as your Venice walking tour itinerary commences with a walking tour of St. Mark’s to admire & discuss its landmark monuments and to visit St. Mark’s Basilica. You can follow every word of your expert English-speaking Venice Tour Guide as you discuss all the major attractions that will include the Doge's Palace, Bridge of Sighs, Bell Tower & Clock Tower.
In the second part of the walking tour we'll leave the hordes of tourists behind in St. Mark's Square to explore a very different Venice. A Venice that's more fascinating and intimate, what we call the Hidden Venice. Main highlights will include Castello district, Campo Santa Maria Formosa, Ponte Paradiso bridge & Calle Paradiso, Salizada San Lio and many more. 4,30pm SMALL GROUP VENICE GRAND CANAL BOAT TOUR 1 hour:

Sit back, relax and take in all the beauty of Venice from a completely different perspective as you glide down Venice's main water street to admire the important buildings that line its banks. They illustrate the great history of Venice, which your expert Venice tour guide will discuss along with stories about famous characters, who have at one time called this waterway their home. Limited to 8/9 people, and also visiting minor canals, it provides a very intimate and easy going tour of Venice far from the crowds of St. Mark’s.

Please note there will be a lunch break of 1,5 hrs circa between the doges palace and the the Walking tour and boat tour

All Tours meet at the entrance to the Royal Gardens on the waterfront of St. Mark’s Square. From St. Mark’s facing the Basilica turn right and walk towards the open water. At the two giant columns facing the water turn right, and following the line of trees after 100 metres you will come to the entrance of the Royal Gardens where we will be waiting holding a sign with tour name written on it

• At times St Mark’s Basilica is closed due to high water or religious ceremonies. During high water the tour will take place, but it might happen we have to partly adapt the tour to the weather conditions. On those occasions when St Mark’s Basilica is open with high water, skip the line tickets will not be accepted as all visitors have only 1 door open to get in the church.
• Guaranteed skip-the-line entrance to St Mark's Basilica are available only from April to October (St Mark’s Basilica does not offer a fast entry service to anyone in other periods, considered off peak season).
• Shoulders and knees must be covered to enter St Mark's Basilica. Large bags are not allowed inside the Basilica.
• This tour is not fully accessible for wheelchair users or people with walking disabilities. However, please contact us directly and we will be able to take you on alternative routes suitable for you.
• Please wear comfortable footwear as this tour involves a lot of walking.
