The front of the Pitti Palace, is the perfect place to start any tour. The palace is in Florence’s Oltrarno neighborhood, and this is where we will begin to follow the footsteps of Robert Langdon and Sienna Brook. Tracing their steps, we’ll go down the Vasarian corridor (only from the outside) from the Pitti Palace through the church of Santa Felicita to the Ponte Vecchio. We will then move along the river Arno, and travel through the Uffizi courtyard to the Palazzo Vecchio. It’s an exciting walk through the history of Florence, while delving into the mystery and the secrets of the Medici family.
In addition to the above, the tour includes a visit to the Palazzo Vecchio to see the famous death mask of Dante. Outside the Palazzo Vecchio, we will follow along the incredible escape of Robert Langdon through the back streets of Florence’s Old Town, including Dante’s church, Dante’s house, and up to the Duomo square. The tour finishes by the Baptistery, so you are able to visit it if you wish - your guide will pay for the entrance ticket on the spot.
