We were on a seven-day Viking Mediterranean cruise and then we stayed a couple of extra days in Rome. Viking did not have any tours for us, so we had to handle this ourselves. [The tour date was June 17, 2023.] The tour guide you provided was Barbara, an art historian. She was so knowledgeable it was like having a private college course (by the way, I am a professor). Yet, her style and presentation made it so easy to understand, and she was a joy to be with. Of all of the sites and events during our ten-day trip, the tour of the Vatican (and Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's) with Barbara will always be remembered as the HIGHLIGHT! This was because of Barbara!!
