Day 1 - TURIN to LANGHE
Upon your arrival at Turin's central railway station you’ll be met by one of our local drivers. Travelling in an air-conditioned vehicle enjoy a private transfer to your accommodation in Alba located in the Langhe region where you will stay for 2 nights, breakfast included. Day 2 - LANGHE
Today enjoy a Private walking tour of Alba followed by a Private tour of Barbaresco Hills with transfers included. At 10 am (or similar time) meet your guide to explore Alba - the most representative city in the entire province of Cuneo. The historic center still retains the ancient medieval structure that is worth visiting. This hilltown is also known for the production of truffles. If you are there on Saturday morning visiting the local food market is a must! Travelling in an AC Mercedes or similar make vehicle with our expert English speaking guide you will now explore the scenic roads of the Barbaresco wine area. You will stop at a selected Barbaresco winery in Treiso - enjoy winery visit and have a light lunch including assorted appetizers and dessert, paired with local wine. Admire the medieval historic centre of Neive which is considered to be among the most beautiful villages of Italy. Take a picture of the famous ancient tower in Barbaresco. The Underground Cathedrals, now part of the Unesco Heritage, are historic cellars of Canelli excavated in the calcareous tufa in the past centuries. Day 3 - LANGHE - TURIN
After a leisurely breakfast you will check out and meet your guide and driver at your acommodation at 9 am (or similar time). Today enjoy a panoramic drive through Barolo Hills with our expert English speaking guide providing explanation about the history of local wine making and the surrounding area. You will stop at a local celebrated winery for a visit and Barolo wine tasting. Crafted from Nebbiolo grapes, Barolo is the most famous of the Great Langhe Reds and holds an esteemed place in the heart of fine wine lovers. But Barolo is not only the famous wine name - it is also a beautiful village, completely immersed in the Langhe hills. It is known first of all for its the imposing Castle of the Marquis Falletti which also hosts the innovative WiMu - Barolo wine museum which we recommend visiting. Your Langhe Langhe wine tour will conclude with a private transfer to Turin railway station - our guide will accompany you along the way providing further explanation about the surrounding scenery and history of Piedmont region.
