Our tour guide, Roberto, was delightful. He was knowledgeable about Venice, its history and its neighborhoods. The places he took us were very good, local bacari that we would not have found on our own. The problem was the distance we walked for only having three stops on the tour. We walked over 6,000 steps (over three miles) and only stopped at three places. You expect to walk in Venice, but not quite that far. Also, a large part of the walking was down the length of the Cannaregio canal in the 5:00 sun. It made for an unnecessarily uncomfortable time.. it’s a good tour, but come prepared, especially in the summertime.
