Chiara

Initially, I joined Avventure Bellissime as a part-time employee when I was finishing my degree in Philosophy, Economics and International Studies at the University of Venice. My principal role is co-ordinating meeting points for the tours in Venice, processing reservations and dealing with client’s requests and queries.

The last two years, working for Avventure Bellissime, have proven to be a priceless experience for someone like myself making the transition from student to working full-time. I have learned lessons that you can’t learn at University. My co-workers have been incredibly helpful, nurturing and accommodating. I really feel as if I’m part of a family here at Avventure Bellissime.

One of my favourite parts of my job are the face-to-face interactions with clients, because I have been able to hear so many interesting stories from all walks of life, which I don’t think I would have been so lucky to come across if I had chosen another profession.

I love travelling to uncharted places, visiting historical sites and frequenting museums, which is why this is a perfect job for me! Architecture, photography and art are also my cup of tea, with my favourite painter being Van Gogh – his painting calms my mind.

Italy, specifically Venice, has become my second home, and I love it with all of my heart. The other day someone called me an adopted Venetian, which really made me feel special.
