Our Mini Bus Tour of Monumental Rome starts with superb views of the Eternal city from one of its famous hills, the Gianicolo.Then, visit the Bocca della Verita (the mouth of Truth), we'll pause for a photo-stop to view one of Rome's more enchanting monuments. An oval stone tablet with a carved face and open mouth in medieval times it was for a sort of trial by ordeal to see if people - particularly wives suspected of being unfaithful - were telling the truth. Legend had it that anyone placing their right hand inside the mouth would have their fingers cut-off by the closing stone mouth if they were not telling the truth.
