Monica - After working in public relations agency in the cosmopolitan city of Milan, Monica decided to travel the world. Spending time in London, she learnt the language and speaks English like a native. Later in the US, she met Jonathan and persuaded him to relocate to Italy to start Avventure Bellissime. Monica juggles many diverse roles within the company, while also being a mother of her and Jonathan’s two-year old daughter – Gaia. A native of Friuli, she possesses in great abundance all the native traits of people from the north-east of Italy – hard-working, full of energy & enthusiasm, with a never say die attitude and more than a hint of Italian style and panache that endears her to her colleagues and clients alike.

Jonathan - Jonathan, apart from a couple of years wandering around the world, has always worked in tourism. From reservations manager to guiding tour groups on hikes down into the Grand Canyon he brings a wealth of experience to Avventure Bellissime. Being co-owner of the company he’s involved in many facets of the company’s operations; managing the company’s website, developing new products and services, day to day operations in Venice and marketing are just a few of his many duties. When he has free-time he likes to travel, and every last weekend in June you’ll always find him wading through the mud at Glastonbury Music Festival.

Arianna - Born in Padua, she has always worked in tourism. After finishing school she left Italy to travel around the world, working in London for three years as a hotel reception supervisor, as well as enjoying sojourns in South Africa and other exotic destinations she returned to live in Italy. For eight years she worked for one of the biggest tour operators in Italy, specializing in incoming trips for VIP’s and large group tours throughout Italy. She joined Avventure Bellissime in 2005, and typical of employees of Avventure Bellissime she has many diverse roles within the company; responding to clients emails, responsible for the operational side of Avventure Bellissime following through on reservations to make sure everything goes to plan, dealing with suppliers, organizing training of employees and with her in-depth knowledge of computers and databases she has played an important role in the planning of the infrastructure of Avventure Bellissime that has enabled the company to enjoy phenomenal growth over the last four years. Arianna, a mother of a beautiful young son called Emilio, enjoys travelling , cooking and is an expert on Italian cuisine and wine. She loves listening to music, and watching movies especially crime stories.

Lydia - Born and brought up in England with an Italian father, meant Lydia was lucky enough to experience frequent visits to Italy as a child creating a passion for the Italian language and resulting in a degree in Italian and European studies. Shortly, after graduating from University she came to work in Venice for the winter season as a Holiday Rep for a UK tour operator and she’s still here after 10 years later! Lydia has always worked in tourism, in Italy. Starting as a Holiday Rep both at Lake Garda and later Venice with Thomson Holiday, she then worked as a member of the ground staff at Venice Airport, and followed by work as a receptionist at a hotel in Venice. Lydia joined Avventure Bellissime in 2006, and her role within the company consists of many diverse roles that include; responding to clients emails, processing bookings, accounting work, and assisting in Venice with the day-to-day operations of the tours.

Paul - Is the most recent recruit to Avventure Bellissime joining the company at the beginning of 2008. Paul speaks perfect English courtesy of his English mother, and having lived most of his life in Venice he has an in-depth knowledge of the city. His father works as a Gondoliere in the city, and Paul’s main duty is being responsible for the day-to-day operations of Avventure Bellissime’s tours in Venice. Always eager to learn new things, he has quickly adapted to his new working environment and the structure of Avventure Bellissime providing valuable support to his colleagues in many diverse roles within the company.
